HP's DeskWriter 695c PhotoSmart Photo Printer is specifically optimized and tuned for printing photos and photo projects. It is a drop-on-demand thermal inkjet printer with four colors standard, six colors with the HP Photo Cartridge.

This HP PhotoSmart Photo Printer uses utilizes multi-dye load printing technology (MDL) to combine all six colors of the Photo Printer's two cartridges, which are carefully designed to work together with HP PhotoSmart Photographic paper to get the greatest benefit from uncompromising MDL technology. HP PhotoSmart inks are less concentrated, allowing up to eight drops of ink to be stacked to create a particular color. HP PhotoSmart technology delivers real photographs, a quantum leap in photographic printing.

The printer uses HP Photo Enhancement Resolution Technology (PhotoREt). With HP PhotoREt, you replace the black HP inkjet cartridge with an HP DeskWriter 695c Photo Print cartridge. Three of the DeskWriter 695c PhotoREt inks are optimized for photo printing, and the other three are optimized for standard, plain paper. HP PhotoREt technology delivers photo quality for occasional use and high-resolution text output for your documents.
